Calling for support of Ukraine

The Association of Professional Theatresis calling on all Czech theatres,

as well as cultural, public, and government institutions, to symbolically support

the independence and freedom of sovereign countries by flying and displaying

Ukrainian flags on their buildings. 

​

Aggressive, threatening, and hostile political and military actions of the Russian

Federation are reminiscent of the most tragic events in the modern history of Europe.

There is only one way for solving any international dispute: by acting within the boundaries of law.

Our hearts are with our extraordinary colleagues in Ukraine, as well as Russia, and we have many good friends among all of them. We believe that they are also in favor of democracy, freedom and cooperation without conflicts and invasions. Should they need our help and support, we are ready to provide it.

Let us all show that we are capable of dialogue and mutual respect.
